Rev. Dr Hon. Habila M. Istifanus, the executive Chairman of Ganye Local Government council has, on the 29th September 2021, commissioned a new health centre in Gangjonen, a village under Timdore District of Ganye LGA.
As part of efforts to contribute in the development of health sector in the State, particularly for the people in the rural remote areas. The modern and well-equipped edifice was birthed by the administration of Rev. Habila despite the financial woes of the Local Government.
In his speech, Rev. Habila pointed out that, the administration of the Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri will continue to impact positively in the lives of the Adamawa State less privilege and the paupers. Habila maintained that the most important aspect of the commissioning is that the people of Gangjonen village have witnessed the challenges faced by his administration before reaching this level of commissioning a health clinic which was equipped with drugs, modern laboratory machines and the professional health personnel’s. Rev. Habila reiterated that it is indeed a very big development to the people of Gangjonen, he said that the project would have not been achieved without the support of the entire people of that village. He thanked them for their cooperation towards the success of the project. The commissioning started with a toast by the dignitaries present which served as a gate way to the proper commissioning. Rev. Habila implored the people of that village to be very cautious of hygiene, he asked them to always keep the surrounding of the health centre clean.
In addition, Rev. Habila said that the projects that his administration will soon complete and commission were, Kotolo health center, Lingbe health center, Gangjuken Health Clinic, inclusive motorized and solar powered water scheme where everybody including the disabled ones could patronize. Among the Eight (8) water schemes that he is presently working on, some of them are almost at the verge of completion, one of the completed projects is at the Gangwari square Ganye while payment have been made to the contractors to complete the remaining projects. The pending project which Rev. Habila is about to embark upon is the Road project, especially a road linking new market via Yam market area and also the road to cattle market. Gangwari of Ganye who was ably represented by Chief Robin Yohana (DAN IYA GANYE), thanked the executive chairman for the effort made to bring health Centre to the door step of people in the remote area. He said that Habila has indeed help in addressing the problems of accessing health services in the near villages surrounding Gangjonen. Different group leaders and elders in Gangjonen expressed their gratitude to God for using Rev. Habila to ensure the presence of Health Centre which was equipped with drugs and the personnel to attend to the sick ones. According to them, previous administration tried to revitalized the collapsed health Centre in their village but failed.

Umar Lawan, Hon. Andy Gombe, Alh. Usman Sanda PDP party chairman. Alh Musa Kanimare, Speaker of the council and his fellow councilors.
